- Marvin Liao - a Partner at 500 Startups, a global Seed Venture Capital Firm & Startup Accelerator based in Silicon Valley. He invests in Digital Media, Enterprise SAAS, Marketplace, Fintech, Digital Health, Internet of Things & Mobile startups across the globe. Formerly of Yahoo! Inc. (10.5 years), Marvin Liao has held roles in the various departments of Sales, Business Development, Ad Operations and Marketing & ran online marketing at a venture funded ecommerce start-up prior to that. He also serves on the boards/advisory boards of several internet advertising and ad technology companies. In addition, he is a Mentor for several Startup Accelerator programs in Europe, Asia, Israel and the US, helping guide startup teams with their sales, marketing and partner development efforts.
- Kamal Hassan - dynamic speaker and thought leader in the areas of innovation, technology, business model design and entrepreneurship. His style is described as innovative and inspiring with a very interesting, creative, and novel way of imparting information to the audience. His high-energy, interactive keynotes and presentations are consistently among the highest rated at any event.
A 20-year veteran of the business world, with experience in the United States, Asia, South America and the Middle East, Mr. Hassan brings a new perspective to regional dialogues.
Mr. Hassan has been involved in numerous events, including organizer and emcee for Startup Weekend events in Dubai and Abu Dhabi; mentor at NYUAD International Hackathon for the Social Good in the Arab World; keynote speaker at Seed Forum Kiev; panelist at GITEX (and many more). He has also presented on entrepreneurship and innovation at such organizations as the American University of Sharjah and the Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development.
Mr. Hassan is the founder and CEO of Innovation 360 (http://www.i360institute.com/), the organization behind the first regional innovation accelerator for startups, i360accelerator (http://www.i360accelerator.com/). He is also a General Partner for the Fenox Global Fund IV, a venture fund that seeks to invest USD $100 million in seed, Series A and pre-IPO funding throughout the United States, Asia and the Middle East.
- Augie Rakow - a corporate attorney in Orrick's Emerging Companies Group where he advises startups and investors who are building the future of how we live and work. Augie studied theological history at Harvard University before becoming a lawyer.
